PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaede Mori (ranked 3800 p4p, 4625 weight class) and Loukas Kouyialis (ranked 443 p4p, 499 weight class). Loukas Kouyialis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaede Mori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Loukas Kouyialis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

Kouyialis tries to move into range but Mori moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mori moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mori throws a lazy right hand but Kouyialis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kouyialis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kouyialis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mori on the side of the head.

It looks like Kaede Mori has been cut.
Mori wants to clinch up but Kouyialis keeps it at a distance.
Mori cracks Kouyialis with an open hand slap.
Mori bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Kouyialis is rocked!
Mori ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Kouyialis out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kaede Mori!
Kaede Mori decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
