The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson fails in his attempt to clinch.
lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Svensson. Svensson gets slowly back to his feet.
Svensson closes the distance and clinches up with lee, looking for a takedown. Svensson pushes lee against the cage but lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Svensson throws a nice looking combination but lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Svensson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in lee's guard.

Svensson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of lee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take lee's back!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
lee's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

lee goes for a takedown attempt but Svensson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and lee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Svensson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
