The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benjamin is looking to clinch but Sledgehammer is avoiding it.
Sledgehammer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Benjamin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Benjamin gets to his feet. Sledgehammer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Benjamin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sledgehammer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Benjamin sees it coming and defends easily.
Sledgehammer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Benjamin is trying to stand up here but Sledgehammer is controlling him well.

Sledgehammer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Benjamin defends it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sledgehammer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Benjamin won't allow Sledgehammer to pass to mount.
Sledgehammer prevents Benjamin from standing back up.
Well, if Sledgehammer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Sledgehammer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Benjamin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sledgehammer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Benjamin's back instead.

Well Benjamin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
