The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Henriques.

D Luffy forces Henriques back against the cage and clinches.
D Luffy is looking to break free of the clinch but Henriques has double underhooks.

D Luffy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Monkey D Luffy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
D Luffy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

D Luffy closes the distance and clinches.

D Luffy jumps into guard, dragging Henriques to the mat.
Henriques wants to stand but D Luffy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now D Luffy is on top in guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. D Luffy connects with a nice short shot to Henriques's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
D Luffy is thwarting Henriques's attempts to control the position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - D Luffy has eaten all the pies!
D Luffy tries to stand but can't do so whilst Henriques controls his leg.
D Luffy works his way into full mount!

D Luffy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Henriques manages to avoid the submission attempt.
D Luffy wants to control but Henriques is keeping him busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Henriques sneaks back into half guard.
Henriques works his way to full guard. Good work.
Henriques is breathing heavily.
D Luffy controls from within his opponent's guard.
D Luffy won't allow Henriques to sweep him here.
Henriques keeping moving, preventing D Luffy from controlling successfully.
D Luffy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

D Luffy tries to get to full guard but Henriques has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Henriques moves into full mount! D Luffy won't be happy about that!
D Luffy is in all sorts of trouble here.

Henriques gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Henriques tries to clinch but fails miserably

and D Luffy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Henriques's guard.
D Luffy wants to control from the top but Henriques keeps moving.
D Luffy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henriques swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Henriques working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. D Luffy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Henriques is tightening it up a little... D Luffy has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! D Luffy reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! D Luffy taps out! nice BJJ there by Henriques!
