PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demyan Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mr T (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molotov comes to the cage accompanied by mythbusters theme song. mr T told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
T lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Molotov backs up against the cage.
Molotov moves in looking to clinch but T pushes him off.

T tries to keep at a distance but Molotov has taken the fight into the clinch.
T slowing the pace effectively.

T should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Molotov for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Molotov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Molotov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Molotov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. T is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Molotov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take T's back instead.
T has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Molotov.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
T motions for Molotov to come forward. T throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Molotov moves into the clinch successfully.
T prevents the takedown attempt.
Stalling in the clinch from Molotov.
T has had enough of the clinch but Molotov keeps him there for the moment.
T wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Molotov has him pressed against the cage.
Molotov is pressed up against the cage. T has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Molotov down to the mat. Molotov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
T tries to clinch there but Molotov circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. T darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Molotov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in T's guard.

Demyan Molotov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Demyan Molotov.
