The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Anderson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Holmes - the referee stops the clock and Anderson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Holmes. Anderson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Holmes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Anderson.

Anderson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Holmes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Anderson scrambles back to his feet.
Anderson has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Holmes.
Holmes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
