Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grand Admiral Thrawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Topou Oto!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thrawn leaves Oto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thrawn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Oto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Thrawn tries to bench press Oto off him but Oto keeps the position.
Oto lands a few punches from side control.
Oto prevents Thrawn from escaping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oto is looking to take a break and control but Thrawn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oto in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

The ground and pound from Oto seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Oto tries for a takedown but Thrawn circles away easily
and Thrawn counters with a straight right hand.
Thrawn scores with a jab to the body.
Thrawn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Oto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Thrawn lands a nice looking body shot.
Thrawn lands a really nice looking cross but Oto seems unphased.
Oto fails with the takedown
and Thrawn counters with a stiff right hand.
Grand Admiral Thrawn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Topou Oto.
Thrawn digs a good body shot into Oto's ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thrawn defends it nicely.
Thrawn was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Oto looks winded!

Thrawn punishes Oto's body with a nice straight punch.
Oto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thrawn avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Thrawn.
Thrawn paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Oto drops his hands momentarily and Thrawn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Thrawn cracks Oto with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Oto tries to move into range but Thrawn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Thrawn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oto fails to land the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Thrawn drives through and clinches with Oto against the cage.
Thrawn pushes Oto back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thrawn gets through Oto's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Topou Oto has been cut.
Thrawn lands a body shot.
Thrawn lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Oto backwards.

Thrawn drops Oto onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Oto is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Oto is rocked!
Thrawn lands a huge punch on the inside that knocks Oto senseless! Wow, what a way to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Grand Admiral Thrawn!
Grand Admiral Thrawn opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
