Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joao Paulo Doia (ranked 4627 p4p, 4656 weight class) and Peter Havan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Doia throws a lazy uppercut

and Havan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Doia!
Havan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Doia is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Doia tries to buck Havan off but Havan is having none of it.

Doia tries to lock up and control but Havan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A close second round but Peter Havan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Doia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Havan throws a series of strikes that have Doia backpedaling.
Peter Havan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Doia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Havan is fending him off so far but Doia persists. Nope, Havan circles away and we're back to standing.

Havan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Doia changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Havan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Doia as Havan shoots in.

Havan pushes Doia up against the cage in a clinch.
Havan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Doia just stands there and leans against the cage.
Doia avoiding damage as Havan throws knees to the body.

Havan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Doia can't fight it off and eventually Havan manages to take the fight to the floor. Doia looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Doia pushes Havan off and scrambles back to his feet.

Havan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Havan.

Doia clinches up with Havan and pushes him back against the cage.
Havan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Doia is trying to pull guard but Havan has him pressed against the cage.
Doia fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Doia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Havan has him pressed against the cage.
Havan lands with a short shot to the head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Havan throws an elbow but misses.

Havan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Doia is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Havan.
Doia is looking to take a break and control but Havan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A control attempt from Havan but he's now mounted!
Joao Paulo Doia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peter Havan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Havan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
