The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Star will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Monivamma closes the distance and clinches up with Star, looking for a takedown. Monivamma pushes Star against the cage but Star circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Monivamma looks for a takedown but Star sprawls well.
Star tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monivamma swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Star drives through and clinches with Monivamma against the cage.
Monivamma blocks a body shot from Star.

Monivamma jumps guard but Star stands there with Monivamma around his waist. Monivamma gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Grinch Star has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Torsti Monivamma.

Star on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Star tries to get out of the position.

Monivamma drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Monivamma jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Star wants to stand up but Monivamma is controlling him.

Monivamma is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Star is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Star has escaped and now he's on top!

Monivamma is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Star is forced to tap! Great finish!
