Rousey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barbosa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Barbosa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Barbosa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Barbosa works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Rousey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barbosa throws a looping overhand right but Rousey ducks down to avoid it.
Rousey lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Rousey misses with a straight right.
Barbosa closes the distance and pushes Rousey back into the cage.
Rousey lands a nice elbow.
Rousey wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Barbosa has him pressed against the cage.
Barbosa keeps control of Rousey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barbosa forces Rousey back against the cage and clinches.
Rousey tries to circle away but Barbosa has him pinned against the cage.
Barbosa is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Barbosa connects with a body shot that sends Rousey's belly button to the back.

Barbosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barbosa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rousey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Daniel Barbosa has been cut.
Rousey slips a jab from Barbosa.
Rousey drops Barbosa with a beautiful combination! Barbosa stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rousey is looking for the KO!
Barbosa is rocked!
Rousey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh Barbosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barbosa closes the distance and pushes Rousey back into the cage.
Rousey breaks the clinch.
Rousey needs to keep his hands up - Barbosa had a free shot at his head there.
BOOM! Rousey lands a beautiful left hook that drops Barbosa. Barbosa tries to recover but Rousey is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Barbosa lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rhondon Rousey!
A less than humble Rhondon Rousey misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
