Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Fellows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herman Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes has chosen Killing Me Softly as his entrance music. Herman Holmes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fellows looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holmes is fending him off so far but Fellows persists. Nope, Holmes circles away and we're back to standing.
Fellows misses with a takedown attempt - Holmes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Holmes connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Damien Fellows has been cut.

Holmes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fellows does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Fellows shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Holmes throws an overhand right that lands on Fellows's shoulder, as Fellows tries to avoid the shot.
Fellows tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holmes was well out of range. Poor timing from Fellows.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fellows. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Fellows shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holmes pinned against the cage. Holmes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Holmes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fellows on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Holmes tries to bum rush Fellows with a series of wild strikes but Fellows uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Holmes ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fellows moves forwards but Holmes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Holmes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Herman Holmes has been cut.

Fellows goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Holmes is on top in guard.
Holmes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fellows escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holmes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fellows throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Fellows had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Holmes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fellows Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Holmes's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fellows lands a shot to the body.
Fellows struggling to land strikes to the head as Holmes covers up.

Fellows can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Holmes is looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fellows lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Holmes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fellows throws out the jab.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Fellows defending well as Holmes loads up on a big left hand.
Holmes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Holmes stuffs the takedown attempt from Fellows. Fellows gets slowly back to his feet.

and Holmes counters with a three punch combo that has Fellows backing up. Fellows nods at Holmes to acknowledge the strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Holmes, as that shot connected.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Damien Fellows's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
