The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galvao clinches.

Roosevelt darts in trying to clinch

and Galvao counters with a single leg into guard. Roosevelt didn't expect that.

Galvao sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Roosevelt's guard.
Galvao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roosevelt keeps working.
Galvao stops Roosevelt from getting back to his feet.
Galvao is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Roosevelt reverses the position - he's now on top in Galvao's guard.

Roosevelt is sitting in close to Galvao's body. Galvao has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Roosevelt is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Roosevelt is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Galvao.
