The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Regueiro lands a jab.

Danilov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Regueiro pinned against the cage. Regueiro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Julio Regueiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Regueiro tries to bum rush Danilov with a series of wild strikes but Danilov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Danilov takes one on the button.
Nice body kick from Danilov.
Regueiro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Danilov.
Regueiro appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Danilov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Danilov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Regueiro. That did some damage!

Danilov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Regueiro to the ground. Danilov is now in Regueiro's guard.

Regueiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

My spies in Randall's Top Team inform me that Regueiro has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Regueiro wants to control but Danilov is keeping him busy.
Danilov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Regueiro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Danilov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Regueiro has managed to get both his arms back between Danilov's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
