PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Tropper (ranked 1794 p4p, 1847 weight class) and Cole Orion (ranked 244 p4p, 251 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

A nice inside leg kick there by Orion. That's going to slow Tropper down.
Tropper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Orion throws a body punch but Tropper moves out of range.

Tropper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tropper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Orion circles away quickly and effectively.

Orion throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tropper on the side of the head.
Tropper feints a jab promting Orion to slip. Tropper then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Orion slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Orion sizes up Tropper with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Orion ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Orion no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tropper connects with a nice short shot to Orion's temple.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tropper takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Orion looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tropper sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
