Gilmore changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Illi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gilmore is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Illi has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gilmore is looking to take a break and control but Illi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gilmore tries to move to mount but Illi blocks the move with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gilmore wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Illi, who protects the arm well.

Gilmore is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Illi is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Illi flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gilmore anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Illi and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gilmore slips an arm under Illi chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gilmore has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gilmore is squeezing on Illi like an anaconda would it's prey. Illi fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
