Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henri Kirchen (ranked 1937 p4p, 2386 weight class) and Carmine Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 307 weight class). Carmine Kingston is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henri Kirchen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carmine Kingston!

Kingston has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kingston blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kingston tries to pull guard but Kirchen won't allow it.

Kirchen jumps into guard, dragging Kingston to the mat.
Kingston has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gladius Elite Facilities. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Kirchen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kirchen stops Kingston from getting back to his feet.
Kingston is trying to escape back to his feet but Kirchen uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kirchen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kingston can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kirchen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kingston wants to get back to his feet.
Kingston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirchen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kingston is looking for a sweep.

Kirchen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kirchen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kingston wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Kirchen tries to advance to mount but Kingston denies him.

Kirchen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kingston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kingston is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kirchen is controlling him well.

Kirchen is trying to get an arm triangle but Kingston is defending well.
Kirchen has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kingston!
Kirchen fails to advance to Kingston's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kirchen wants to finish this one by submission but Kingston is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kirchen.
Kingston tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kirchen pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Kirchen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kirchen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Kirchen seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Kingston is holding on tight.

Kirchen has hold of Kingston's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kingston manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kingston wants to control but Kirchen is having none of it.

Kirchen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kingston is now in Kirchen's guard. A big mistake from Kirchen there, giving up the dominant position!
Kirchen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kirchen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kingston has his hands clasped together but Kirchen extends and breaks Kingston's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kirchen.
