Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henri Kirchen (ranked 1783 p4p, 166 weight class) and Marcos De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 25 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Kirchen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

De Souza has a hand on Kirchen's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kirchen takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Kirchen is looking for a sweep. De Souza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kirchen is staying active underneath De Souza, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

De Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirchen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kirchen pulls De Souza in close to his closed guard and prevents De Souza from doing any damage or advancing position.

Kirchen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. De Souza is aware though and is defending well.

De Souza wants to control from the top but Kirchen keeps moving.

De Souza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kirchen's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
