Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sur Resh (ranked 4611 p4p, 24293 weight class) and Micky Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micky Quinn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sur Resh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Micky Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinn darts in looking for a takedown but Resh gets double underhooks and turns Quinn into the cage.
A quick step to the side and Resh tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Resh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Resh throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Quinn was covering up waiting for the punch and Resh finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Resh controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Resh stands and steps away. Quinn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Quinn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Resh ducks right into an uppercut from Quinn.

It looks like Sur Resh has been cut.
A head kick misses from Resh.

Resh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Quinn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Quinn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Resh with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Resh engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Quinn wants to sweep but no luck.
Resh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Resh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Resh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Quinn cracks Resh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Resh throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Quinn sends Resh crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Quinn is motioning to the referee to let Resh up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Quinn rushes Resh and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Resh is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Quinn piles on the pressure and Resh crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micky Quinn!
Micky Quinn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
