Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boss Yonic (ranked 393 p4p, 468 weight class) and Patty O Reilly (ranked 52 p4p, 65 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patty O Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

O Reilly looks to throw the jab but Yonic is out of range.
Yonic throws a hook but O Reilly blocks it.
O Reilly throws out a counter right but Yonic avoids it with no problem.
O Reilly throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Yonic on the side of the head.
Yonic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent O Reilly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Yonic lands with a straight right. O Reilly didn't see that one coming.
O Reilly tries to move into range but Yonic moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
O Reilly throws a looping overhand right but Yonic ducks down to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

O Reilly lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

It seemed like O Reilly was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from O Reilly in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

O Reilly in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Yonic tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from O Reilly!

Patty O Reilly decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Boss Yonic had this to say: 'Oh rats.'.
