Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amos Blanco (ranked 4670 p4p, 4619 weight class) and Roger Saud (ranked 558 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Amos Blanco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roger Saud!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.

Blanco doesn't manage to clinch there - Saud circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blanco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blanco moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSaud.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blanco. Saud does a little dance to reset his feet.
Saud is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blanco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saud swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Amos Blanco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saud closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Saud tightens his grip and picks Blanco up, before dumping him to the ground. Blanco manages to land in guard.
Blanco looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Saud puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanco is trying to control but Saud passes into side control!
Saud is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Blanco's shoulder. That is not cool.
Saud cracks Blanco with a big right hand but Blanco just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Blanco takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The referee asks Saud politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Saud prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blanco tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Saud working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Blanco is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Blanco is trying to control Saud's posture but Saud avoids it.

Saud has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blanco tries to buck Saud off but Saud is having none of it.

Saud is putting a hurting on Blanco here, landing some big shots from side control.

Saud has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Blanco feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sauds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Saud tries to break the clinch but Blanco is controlling the position.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Saud avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blanco connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Saud momentarily.
Blanco moves in looking to clinch but Saud pushes him off.
Blanco stuffs the takedown.
Blanco fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saud drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Blanco defends it well.
Saud fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blanco avoids it really well and circles away.

Amos Blanco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Saud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saud uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blanco.
Saud shoots for a double leg takedown but Blanco sprawls well. He's pushed Saud's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Blanco tries to clinch up but Saud circles away and keeps his distance.
Roger Saud is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Saud lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Saud works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blanco manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Saud manages to get himself to full guard.

Blanco wants to control from the top but Saud keeps moving.

Saud has momentary wrist control but Blanco slips an elbow through the middle.

Blanco stands up over Saud, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Saud looking for a sweep. Not yet Saud, not yet.
Blanco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saud on the ground.
Saud keeping moving, preventing Blanco from controlling successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Blanco wants to clinch.
Blanco tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Saud manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blanco tests Saud's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Saud circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice shot lands for Saud.
Saud shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blanco sprawls well. Blanco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saud gets slowly back to his feet.
Blanco keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amos Blanco dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Blanco counters with a nice uppercut.

Saud is rocked!
Blanco wants to clinch.
Saud is still on wobbly legs! Can Blanco finish him?
Blanco circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Saud to the canvas! Saud doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Blanco keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amos Blanco!
