PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kanker Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fibelas Alameda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alameda misses with a takedown attempt - Kid sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kid darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kid prevents Alameda from standing back up.

Kid wants to work for an arm triangle but Alameda is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Alameda manages to get to full guard.
Alameda not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kid tries to advance to mount but can't.

Kid tries for a kimura but Alameda is defending well.

Alameda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alameda trying to hold on to Kid's head to control him but Kid postures up.
Kid could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kid is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Alameda has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Alameda slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Alameda seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Alameda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Alameda is keen to just control but Kid is a slippery customer.
Alameda is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Kid is looking to improve his position.
Alameda is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Alameda wants to take a breather but Kid is having none of it.
Alameda might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kid kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Alameda shoots in and bounces Kid off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alameda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alameda passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kid takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kid is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Alameda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kid keeps working.
Kid is looking to reverse the position.

A close round but Fibelas Alameda will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Alameda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kid counters with a single leg into guard. Alameda didn't expect that.

Kid drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kid seems to have locked his on tight now - Alameda screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kid, as he picks up the win!
