This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Chin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schullacks tries to avoid it but Chin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schullacks to the ground. Schullacks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Schullacks feints the counter takedown.
Schullacks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chin was covering up waiting for the punch and Schullacks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chin (0) vs (2) Schullacks
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Chin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Schullacks has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Schullacks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Schullacks working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Chin looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Schullacks! Submission of the night perhaps?
