Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tadashi Ono (ranked 6753 p4p, 4043 weight class) and Carlos Valencia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tadashi Ono has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Valencia!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Valencia takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Valencia connects with a nice short shot to Ono's temple.

Valencia thows a huge punch but Ono dodges it nicely.

Valencia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ono but Ono pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Valencia gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ono.

Ono's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Valencia misses with a head kick.

Ono swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Valencia tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tadashi Ono.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ono, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
