Walsh shoots in and gets a takedown into Laddel 's guard.
Walsh working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Walsh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Laddel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Laddel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walsh on the ground.
Walsh told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Laddel wants to stand and escape but Walsh is having none of it.

Walsh is trying to control the action in half guard but Laddel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Laddel pushes Walsh off looking to stand but Walsh dives back in and keeps control.

Walsh seems to be working for a kimura but Laddel defends the submission attempt.
Walsh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Walsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Walsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laddel is just riding it out for now. Walsh eventually gives up the hold.

Laddel tries to kick Walsh off but Walsh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Laddel scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Walsh manages to mount him!

Walsh is working for a guillotine from mount but Laddel frees his head quite easily.

Walsh is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Laddel is forced to tap! Great finish!
