Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Collins (ranked 2187 p4p, 4001 weight class) and Nick Holey (ranked 127 p4p, 209 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Holey!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Collins.
Collins connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Nick Holey has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Collins.
Holey fails with a takedown attempt.
Collins slaps away a takedown attempt from Holey, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Holey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Collins wants to sweep but no luck.
Collins pulls Holey in close to his closed guard and prevents Holey from doing any damage or advancing position.
Holey trying to control but Collins is working from the bottom.
Collins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holey preventing the sweep.
Collins is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at JAG Battle Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Holey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Collins has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Holey is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Collins breaks from the clinch.
Collins scores with a one two! Holey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Holey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Collins throws a series of punches but Holey moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Collins.
Holey blocks a head kick by Collins.
Collins misses with a double jab.
Holey is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Collins closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Collins pulls guard effortlessly.
Holey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Collins uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Collins moves into the clinch.

Collins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Collins throws a head kick that Holey semi-blocks.
Collins scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Holey is rocked!
Holey is looking to clinch.
Holey is still on wobbly legs! Can Collins finish him?
Collins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Collins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Holey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Collins clinches up against the cage.

Collins breaks the clinch.
Collins connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Collins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Collins lands with a nice combination. Holey backs away looking to recover.
Collins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Michael Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Holey.
Collins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holey.

Collins gets a clinch.
Holey can't get the takedown.
Holey seems to have recovered his senses.

Collins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Collins lands with a straight right. Holey didn't see that one coming.
Collins plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Holey to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Holey just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Michael Collins!
A less than humble Michael Collins misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
