PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlaimir Cuschenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cuschenko comes into the arena with T.A.T.U - Prostye Dvizhen'ya blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuschenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Bison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bison doesn't manage to clinch there - Cuschenko circles away.
Bison keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Cuschenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bison, pushing him back against the cage.
Bison prevents Cuschenko from breaking the clinch.
Cuschenko can't get the takedown.

Cuschenko breaks the clinch.
A combination from Bison does no damage.
Cuschenko fails with a takedown attempt.
Bison scoring well with a low kick there.
Bison throws a series of punches but Cuschenko moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cuschenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Cuschenko is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bison has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cuschenko looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cuschenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bison tries to kick Cuschenko off in order to stand up. Cuschenko Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Cuschenko cracks Bison with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Bison dodges the ground and pound from Cuschenko.
Cuschenko fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bison is pushing Cuschenko's head away, looking to escape. Cuschenko manages to hold on to the position though.
Cuschenko looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bison is avoiding damage well.
Bison is trying to get back to his feet.
Cuschenko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cuschenko moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cuschenko tries to work over Bison's front leg with a kick but Bison checks it.

Cuschenko tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bison looks to land a combination but Cuschenko avoids it well.
Bison throws a right and a left that Cuschenko avoids nicely.

Cuschenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Cuschenko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cuschenko prevents Bison from escaping the position.
Cuschenko works to advance to full mount. Bison defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bison is trying to stand.

Cuschenko looking to isolate an arm here. Bison doesn't see it coming and as Cuschenko extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Cuschenko!
