PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keith Seng (ranked 3943 p4p, 4068 weight class) and Farto Fuerte (ranked 440 p4p, 449 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Seng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Farto Fuerte!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seng displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Fuerte wants to slow Seng down by chopping away at his legs.
Seng seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Fuerte moves forwards but Seng connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Farto Fuerte has been cut.
Seng scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fuerte tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Seng paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fuerte. Seng does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Fuerte. Those never looked like landing.
Fuerte has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Seng counters with a three punch combo that has Fuerte backing up. Fuerte nods at Seng to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Seng throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fuerte on the side of the head.
Fuerte throws a jab but it's blocked by Seng.
Fuerte fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A little feinted left hand from Seng on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fuerte throws a series of punches but Seng moves out of range.
Seng looks to score with a jab to the body but Fuerte is just out of range.
Fuerte looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Fuerte tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fuerte falls off balance throwing a combination
and Seng counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Seng displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fuerte throws out the jab.
Fuerte throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice straight punches there by Fuerte. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fuerte.

Seng drops Fuerte with a beautiful combination! Fuerte stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Seng is looking for the KO!

Fuerte is rocked!
Seng fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Fuerte square on the jaw! Damn, Fuerte is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
