Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ger McDonnell!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

McDonnell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McDonnell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McDonnell scores with a nice strike.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McDonnell as he jumps to the side.
Harris takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
McDonnell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Harris momentarily.
McDonnell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harris stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McDonnell works the jab nicely.
A left lands for McDonnell.
McDonnell dips to his left and cracks Harris with an uppercut!
Ger McDonnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for McDonnell!
McDonnell tries to improve position but can't.
McDonnell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Harris's best efforts.
McDonnell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and McDonnell reverses the position - he's now on top in Harris's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDonnell trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Harris holds on and takes a little breather.
McDonnell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Harris wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Harris is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McDonnell has his hands clasped together but Harris extends and breaks McDonnell's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Harris.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marcus Harris!
