Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nobuhito Inoue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoue shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yakovenko as he avoids it easily.

and Inoue counters with a nice low kick that buckles Yakovenko's knee momentarily.

and Yakovenko counters with a left and a right that stings Inoue.
Yakovenko misses with a takedown attempt - Inoue sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A combination from Inoue does no damage.
Inoue fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yakovenko avoids it really well and circles away.
Inoue is breathing heavily.

Yakovenko is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Inoue escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nobuhito Inoue.
