Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Mendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mendez as he avoids it easily.

Lesnar lands a head kick. Mendez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lesnar shoots for a takedown but Mendez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tony Mendez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Lesnar.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mendez but Mendez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lesnar is looking to score with low kicks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lesnar is trying to control the position but Mendez postures up.
Mendez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mendez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Mendez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mendez winds up and cracks Lesnar with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Lesnar wants to improve his position but Mendez is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tony Mendez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lesnar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
