Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and OJ Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Ja Rule feat. Fat Joe & Jadakiss - New York as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that OJ Black was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black wants to slow Davidson down by chopping away at his legs.
Davidson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Black.
Black checks a leg kick.
Black circles away from the clinch attempt.
Black takes a swing at Davidson's ribcage but misses.
Davidson misses with a wild combination.
Davidson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Black shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davidson as he jumps to the side.
Black tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Black is breathing heavily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Davidson throws a right and a left that Black avoids nicely.
Davidson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Black connects with the punch.
Black throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davidson's waist but Davidson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Black off to one side.
Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davidson as he avoids it easily.
Mark Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of OJ Black.

Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Davidson cracks Black with a right hand to the side of the head.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Davidson moves out of range as Black throws a body kick.
It looks like OJ Black has been cut.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Davidson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Black has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Black and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Davidson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Black takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Black falls off balance throwing a combination
and Davidson counters with a nice uppercut.
Davidson scores with a decent looking hook.
Davidson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Davidson misses with a wild combination.
Davidson fails with the takedown.
Black swings away with a body shot that misses
and Davidson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Black!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davidson wants to take Black's back here but Black is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Davidson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Black has worked his arm free - good work by Black!
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Black is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Davidson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working.
Black sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Black is trying to maintain the position but Davidson is very close to passing his half guard.

Davidson is stalling here. Black is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Davidson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Black has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well Davidson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
