Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Poulter (ranked 3082 p4p, 3889 weight class) and Asaki Hanaki (ranked 339 p4p, 420 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hanaki's choice of entrance music: The HU - Wolf Totem. Simon Poulter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Asaki Hanaki's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Simon Poulter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Asaki Hanaki!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter misses with a double jab
and Hanaki counters with a straight right hand.
Hanaki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Asaki Hanaki has been cut.
Hanaki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hanaki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Poulter misses with a double jab
and Hanaki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hanaki rushes Poulter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hanaki taking a breather.
Poulter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanaki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Poulter.
Poulter gets in close and tags Hanaki with a short punch that almost sends Hanaki to the mat! Oh Hanaki is in big trouble! He turns his back on Poulter, trying to create some distance but Poulter rushes him, striking wildly and Hanaki goes down! The referee tackles Poulter into the cage to end the fight! Poulter is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Poulter!
