Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borg Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by I Want to Conquer the World by Bad Religion. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jackson fails with the takedown.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hanson tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hanson to the ground. Hanson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A swing and a miss from Hanson.
Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Hanson keeps moving.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
Hanson wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.

Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hanson pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Jackson throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Borg Hanson has been cut.

Jackson tries to clinch but Hanson is having none of it.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hanson throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hanson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Hanson.
Borg Hanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hanson misses with the combination.
Hanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson.
Hanson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
Hanson misses with a looping right.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Hanson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hanson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Jackson tries to clinch up but Hanson circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson throws a hook but Hanson avoids it easily.
Jackson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hanson to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hanson connects with the punch.
Hanson lands a big shot that drops Jackson! Can he finish him?
Jackson is rocked!
Hanson stands up from Jackson's guard - Hanson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hanson catches Jackson napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Jackson to the canvas!
Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hanson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jackson seems to have got his legs back now.
Hanson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

Hanson won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.
Hanson tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.
Hanson tries to stand but Jackson is controlling from the bottom.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hanson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jackson!
Hanson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Jackson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hanson swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Borg Hanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Hanson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hanson lands with a straight right. Jackson didn't see that one coming.

Jackson slips a straight right by Hanson.
Hanson dances in with a quick combination. Jackson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hanson snaps Jackson's head back. Jackson stumbles backwards against the cage. Hanson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Jackson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Jackson just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Borg Hanson!
