Julio Trujillo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trujillo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Grant.
Trujillo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Trujillo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grant.
Grant tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trujillo swivels and escapes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grant is defended easily by Trujillo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aubrey Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grant looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grant has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LA Vale Tudo in the buildup to the fight.
Trujillo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Trujillo wants it to stay on the feet.
Grant goes for a double leg but Trujillo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Trujillo continues to drive forward.

Trujillo replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Grant blocks it well.

Grant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Trujillo is trying to get back to half guard.
Grant with the ground and pound but Trujillo regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Trujillo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grant is working away from the top position though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trujillo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Trujillo looking for a triangle here. Grant is fighting it but it looks tight! Trujillo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Grant is tapping out - this one is all over!

Julio Trujillo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
In defeat, Aubrey Grant stepped up to the mic, saying '7.05'.
