Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Malum Est (ranked 5499 p4p, 5339 weight class) and Denis Meacham (ranked 561 p4p, 547 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Malum Est!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denis Meacham!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meacham closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Est is trying to escape the position but Meacham is controlling the position.

Meacham has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Meacham cracks Est with a big elbow.
Est is looking for a sweep.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meacham lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Est down.

Meacham connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Est some visible discomfort.
Meacham cracks Est with a big right hand but Est just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Est is rocked!
Meacham is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Est tries to buck Meacham off but Meacham is having none of it.
Meacham is chipping away with strikes.
Est is trying to get back to half guard.
Est wants to control but Meacham postures up.
Meacham trying to control the action but Est is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Meacham working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Oh Est is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Est is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Meacham scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Est is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Meacham can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
