Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Groundskeeper Willie!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willie throws a nice looking combination but Markes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Willie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Markes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Willie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Willie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Willie gets a clinch.
Markes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Willie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Markes uses from the top position.

Markes stands up and waves to Willie to follow him.
Markes jabs Willie right on the nose. Willie blinks but takes it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Willie cracks Markes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Groundskeeper Willie has been cut.

Willie moves into the clinch successfully.

Willie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Willie has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Willie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Willie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Markes, pushing him back against the cage.
Markes tries to circle away but Willie has him pinned against the cage.
Markes is looking to break free of the clinch but Willie has double underhooks.

Willie jumps guard.
Markes seems to have got his legs back now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Willie is on top in guard.

Willie won't allow Markes to get back to his feet.

Willie stands up from Markes's guard - Willie perhaps looking for a knockout.

Markes throws an overhand right that lands on Willie's shoulder, as Willie tries to avoid the shot.
A jab lands there for Markes.
A swing and a miss from Markes.
Markes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Markes misses with a straight right.
Willie cracks Markes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Markes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Willie connects with the punch.
Willie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Markes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Willie goes for a takedown attempt but Markes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
and Willie counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Markes! He's just covering up as Willie starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
