Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reima Poika (ranked 937 p4p, 706 weight class) and Cleon Wright (ranked 117 p4p, 86 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wright 's choice of entrance music: Come out to play . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wright has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Despite the aggression on Wright 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Poika has his foot on Wright 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wright works his way back into a safe position though.

Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poika. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poika is working Wright over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Reima Poika will probably get the nod.

It looked like Poika was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Poika has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Poika in particular looking to stall.

and Wright counters with a huge left! Poika is in big trouble! He's backing up but Wright isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Poika from any more damage. A dominating finish by Wright !
