Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry mcKonner (ranked 4533 p4p, 4502 weight class) and Santiago Mahecha (ranked 0 p4p, 529 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry mcKonner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Santiago Mahecha!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from mcKonner is defended easily by Mahecha.
mcKonner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mahecha pinned against the cage. Mahecha gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mahecha looks like he wants to counter punch here.
mcKonner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mahecha as he jumps to the side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
mcKonner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mahecha swivels and escapes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Barry mcKonner.
Well Mahecha has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
