Mother's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, God of Thunder - Kiss. Animal Mother has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mother lands a nice shot that snaps Stone's head back.

It looks like Sammy Stone has been cut.
Mother missing with a left hand there. Stone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mother pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mother moves out of range as Stone strikes.
Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice combo by Mother! Oh, that's hurt him - Stone falls to the canvas and Mother follows him into side control.

Stone is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mother decides to stand back up.
Stone is still on wobbly legs! Can Mother finish him?
Mother throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stone seems to have recovered his senses.
Stone throws a nice looking combination but Mother bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mother throws a looping overhand right but Stone ducks down to avoid it.
Mother dodges the punch combination from Stone.
Mother lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That has opened up Sammy Stone's cut even more.
Mother swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Mother, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sammy Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Stone.
Mother throws a jab when Stone was well out of range.
Mother on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mother throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stone.
Stone moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Animal Mother has been cut.
Mother will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mother.
Stone looks to land a combination but Mother avoids it well.
Stone throws a hook but Mother blocks it.

Mother lands a nice hook to Stone's body. Stone takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stone looks gassed!

Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mother circles away quickly and effectively.
Stone lands a really nice looking cross but Mother seems unphased.

and Mother counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mother scores with a jab to the jaw.

The cut above Sammy Stone's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mother tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Mother.

Sammy Stone's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mother clobbers Stone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sammy Stone's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Animal Mother!
