Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pony Pony (ranked 857 p4p, 681 weight class) and Rich Silva Jr (ranked 106 p4p, 88 weight class). Silva Jr has chosen Sleeping Giant as his entrance music. Pony Pony has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Pony takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva Jr moves to clinch but Pony breaks away
and Pony cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pony looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Pony counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Pony has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pony is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silva Jr is defending well for now.

Silva Jr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pony walks away with a smile on his face. Silva Jr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pony Pony has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Silva Jr.
Pony throws a body punch but Silva Jr moves out of range.
Silva Jr is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pony with a body shot.

Silva Jr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Pony throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva Jr blocks it with crossed arms.

Silva Jr lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pony backwards.

Silva Jr lands a hook to the side of the head.

Silva Jr can't find room to land a body shot as Pony controls the action.

Silva Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Silva Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pony throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pony throws a leg kick but Silva Jr sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A nice side step and Silva Jr releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Pony connects with a solid leg kick.

Pony cracks Silva Jr with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Silva Jr lands a nice hook to Pony's body. Pony takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Silva Jr circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Pony to the canvas! Pony doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Silva Jr keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
