Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musa Kesadzija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes into the arena with What you know by T.I. blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kesadzija fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brooks, pushing him back against the cage.
Brooks looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Kesadzija gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kesadzija really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kesadzija has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Brooks's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kesadzija has control of Brooks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brooks regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brooks seems to have got his legs back now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
