Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Kane (ranked 3146 p4p, 1482 weight class) and Mitch Malone (ranked 386 p4p, 191 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Malone finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kane is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A nice leg kick from Kane, right into the meat of the thigh.
Malone tries a head kick but it misses.

and Kane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Malone lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kane takes a step back to recover.
Malone cracks Kane with a right hand to the side of the head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Malone. Kane does a little dance to reset his feet.

Malone looks for the body kick but Kane saw that one coming.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kane crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Malone - the referee stops the clock and Kane gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Malone. Kane manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Malone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kane moves away.
A quick step to the side and Kane tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Malone counters with a good low kick that Kane was not able to check.

Kane seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Kane is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Nice uppercut lands for Malone. That snapped Kane's head back.
Malone seems to have recovered his senses.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kane looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Kane drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Malone closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kane! Malone dives in looking to finish! Kane is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
