Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Heart just misses with a punch to the body.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Heart is pressing down on Lashley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Heart working a defensive guard here.
Lashley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lashley trying to control but Heart is working from the bottom.
Lashley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Heart keeping moving, preventing Lashley from controlling successfully.
Heart wants to stand up but Lashley is controlling him.

Lashley stands up and waves to Heart to follow him.

Lashley shoots in and bounces Heart off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Heart is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Heart wants to take a breather but Lashley is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lashley feints and as Heart raises his hands in defense, Lashley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lashley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heart on the ground.
Heart keeping moving, preventing Lashley from controlling successfully.

Heart lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lashley!

Heart stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Heart clinches.

Lashley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heart fails in his attempt to clinch.
Heart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lashley counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Heart!

Heart feints and as Lashley raises his hands in defense, Heart changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lashley is looking to stand back up but Heart counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lashley.

Lashley flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Heart prevents Lashley from standing back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Heart doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lashley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Heart is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lashley pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lashley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lashley manages to end up in side control.
Heart is trying to control Lashley's posture but Lashley avoids it.
Heart regains half guard.

Lashley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Heart looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Heart is trying to maintain the position but Lashley is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Heart.
Heart is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lashley wants to stand but Heart is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lashley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Heart is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Lashley looking to slow down the pace here.
Lashley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Heart walks away with a smile on his face. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Heart misses with a takedown

and Lashley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lashley.
Bobby Lashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Heart.
Heart trying to keep a closed guard but Lashley is proving a slippery customer.

Heart is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lashley stands up and waves to Heart to follow him.

Lashley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Heart can't do much from the bottom here.
Lashley staying calm.

Lashley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Heart is staying active underneath Lashley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Heart tries to roll over but Lashley keeps him under control.

Heart is looking for a sweep. Lashley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Heart tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lashley tries to clinch there but Heart circles away.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Heart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Heart is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bobby Lashley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lashley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Heart has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lashley is working away from the top position though.
Lashley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lashley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Heart takes the fight into the clinch.

Lashley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Heart is trying to keep an underhook but Lashley manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Heart works his way to full guard. Good work.
Lashley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lashley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Heart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Heart manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lashley can't escape the position.

Heart is going olschool here, as he tries to force Lashley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lashley shrugs it off.
Bret Heart has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bobby Lashley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lashley tries to hold on but Heart postures up.

Bobby Lashley showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lashley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
