Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Frost (ranked 24102 p4p, 4461 weight class) and Sam Leck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost comes to the cage accompanied by Sean O'Malley. Sam Leck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Isaac Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Leck!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leck misses with a kick to the body
and Frost counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Frost darts in and clinches Leck up against the cage.
Leck looking to slow down the pace here.
Leck prevents a takedown attempt there.
Frost drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Frost manages to break the clinch.
Leck pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Frost misses with a takedown attempt - Leck sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaac Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leck moves into the clinch.

Frost ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frost no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Frost looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leck is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Leck slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Frost is looking to reverse the position.

Frost fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Frost postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Leck to stand up.
Leck throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Frost looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Leck throws a head kick but Frost moves out of range.

Frost shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leck sprawls well. Leck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frost gets slowly back to his feet.

Leck jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frost walks away with a smile on his face. Leck gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Frost drives through with a takedown into Leck's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Leck looking for a sweep. Not yet Leck, not yet.
Frost postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Frost works over Leck with some ground and pound from guard.
Frost trying to control but Leck is working from the bottom.
Frost lands a couple of elbows.

Leck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Frost gets to his feet - Leck follows without any prompting.

Frost changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Frost is trying to get an arm triangle but Leck is defending well.

Frost is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leck knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Frost wants to control but Leck is keeping him busy.

Leck is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Leck is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Frost is staying active.

Frost is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leck is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee asks Frost politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Frost prefers to stall for the moment though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Isaac Frost will probably get the nod.

Frost shoots in and drives through. Leck sprawls well.

Frost throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Leck tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Frost is in Leck's guard.

Leck pushes Frost off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Leck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frost tries to avoid it but Leck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frost to the ground. Frost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frost shoots for a double leg takedown but Leck sprawls well. He's pushed Frost's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frost fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leck avoids it really well and circles away.

Leck dives in and grabs Frost's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frost pushes down on Leck's head and hops out.
Leck throws a series of punches but Frost avoids them all with ease.

Frost gets control of Leck's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frost will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Leck got a little sloppy there for a moment and Frost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Leck has managed to get both his arms back between Frost's legs - danger averted.

I think Leck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
