Achashverosh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Summoning Melchior. Hank Holmes has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Achashverosh bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Achashverosh defending well as Holmes loads up on a big left hand.
Achashverosh takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Achashverosh drives through and clinches with Holmes against the cage.

Achashverosh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Achashverosh rushes Holmes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Holmes will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Achashverosh up against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Holmes just misses with a elbow thrown towards Achashverosh's brow.

Achashverosh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holmes.

Achashverosh keeps control of Holmes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Achashverosh clobbers Holmes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Hank Holmes has been cut.

Achashverosh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holmes, pushing him back against the cage.

Achashverosh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Achashverosh walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Holmes drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Achashverosh swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Holmes's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After the fight, Melchior Achashverosh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
