Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sutarjo Sukarman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mason McNamara!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sukarman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McNamara successfully pulls guard.
Sukarman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Sukarman controlling from the top position.
Sukarman stops McNamara from standing up.
McNamara is looking to sweep but instead, Sukarman has passed into half guard.
McNamara is not content to let Sukarman control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sukarman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

McNamara kicks Sukarman off and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McNamara pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McNamara tries for a takedown but Sukarman circles away easily

and Sukarman moves into the clinch.
McNamara has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sukarman after a bit of a struggle.
McNamara misses with a body punch.

Sukarman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McNamara uses from the top position.

Sukarman working for a triangle but McNamara defends it easily.
Sukarman pulls McNamara in close to prevent any damage.
McNamara told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
McNamara is pushing down on Sukarman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sukarman is fighting to maintain full guard but McNamara has managed to sneak the leg through.

McNamara is pressing down on Sukarman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sukarman is holding on for now.
McNamara thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sukarman is trying to maintain the position but McNamara is very close to passing his half guard.
McNamara prevents Sukarman from improving his position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sukarman wants to get back to his feet.

McNamara with the ground and pound but Sukarman uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Sukarman keeping full guard, as McNamara tries to pass.
McNamara wants to control from the top but Sukarman keeps moving.
McNamara is fighting to break Sukarman's control of his arms but Sukarman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sukarman drives through with a takedown into McNamara's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McNamara has his hands on Sukarman's head, controlling the position.

McNamara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sukarman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sukarman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sukarman wants to control from the top but McNamara keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mason McNamara will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McNamara looking to score a takedown here. Sukarman is defending well but McNamara drives through and ends up in Sukarman's guard.
Sukarman is wriggling around but McNamara manages to pass to half guard.

Sukarman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sukarman tries to get out of the position.
Sukarman has hold of McNamara's hands but McNamara slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sukarman is pressing down on McNamara's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sukarman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sukarman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sukarman is striking from the bottom but McNamara uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
McNamara passes the guard and advances to mount!
McNamara cracks Sukarman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sukarman is squirming around, avoiding McNamara's attempts to control the action.
McNamara landing strikes, looking to finish!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sukarman in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Sukarman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McNamara on the ground.
McNamara tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
McNamara looking to finish Sukarman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sukarman!
McNamara controlling the pace for now.
Sukarman is squirming around, avoiding McNamara's attempts to control the action.
The referee warns Sukarman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sukarman is rocked!
McNamara postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sukarman bigstyle! Two more strikes land for McNamara and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mason McNamara!
Mason McNamara thanked the fans post fight for their support.
