Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keilis Rivera (ranked 4621 p4p, 4516 weight class) and Pilaf Uuberschlouth (ranked 476 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keilis Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pilaf Uuberschlouth!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivera moves into the clinch successfully.

Rivera gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Uuberschlouth is looking to get back to is feet but Rivera passes into side control.

Rivera stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rivera is defended easily by Uuberschlouth.
Uuberschlouth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As Uuberschlouth tries to get set, Rivera tries to push him back and clinch up but Uuberschlouth manages to avoid the attempt.

Rivera fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uuberschlouth, pushing him back against the cage.

Rivera turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uuberschlouth tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rivera just content to control the position.

Rivera decides to stand back up.

Rivera takes the fight into the clinch.
Rivera scores with a shot to the side of Uuberschlouth's head.
Uuberschlouth wants to get back to striking at distance but Rivera won't allow it.
Uuberschlouth tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rivera just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rivera tries for a takedown but Uuberschlouth manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rivera is pushing Uuberschlouth up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Uuberschlouth is trying to pull guard but Rivera has him pressed against the cage.
Rivera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Uuberschlouth gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keilis Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rivera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Uuberschlouth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Uuberschlouth lands a head kick. Rivera smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Rivera bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rivera lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rivera stands up.

Uuberschlouth chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Uuberschlouth tries to keep at a distance but Rivera has taken the fight into the clinch.
Uuberschlouth is trying to break the clinch but Rivera has him pressed against the cage.

Rivera ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rivera no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rivera is on top in guard.

Rivera postures up and lands a big shot to Uuberschlouth's brow.
Rivera scoring with some ground and pound.
Uuberschlouth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rivera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Uuberschlouth wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rivera is now in half guard.
Uuberschlouth trying to get back to full guard but Rivera takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Uuberschlouth looks winded!

Rivera quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Rivera but it's paid off an Uuberschlouth is forced to tap! Nice work by Rivera.
