The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikifor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pennanen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nikifor's guard.

Nikifor gets caught flat footed, as Pennanen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Pennanen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pennanen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nikifor misses with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pennanen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juho Pennanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pennanen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nikifor.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pennanen shoots in but no luck this time.
Nikifor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pennanen moves away.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lev Nikifor.
I think Pennanen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
