Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chief Seminole (ranked 2422 p4p, 3053 weight class) and Bastien Giroud (ranked 278 p4p, 343 weight class). Bastien Giroud will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Seminole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Bastien Giroud!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Seminole as he connects with a hook.
Seminole throws a series of punches but Giroud avoids them all with ease.
Giroud is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Giroud scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Chief Seminole has been cut.
Seminole takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Giroud displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Seminole throws out the jab.
Giroud lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Seminole shoots in looking for a takedown. Giroud tries to sprawl out of it but Seminole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Giroud manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Seminole moves into range and clinches up with Giroud.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Seminole has Giroud pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Seminole pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Giroud tumbling to the mat - Seminole dives into Giroud's guard.
Seminole throws a big elbow that misses.
Giroud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Seminole is in close to Giroud's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Seminole throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Seminole's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Giroud has momentary wrist control but Seminole slips an elbow through the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Giroud is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Seminole is looking to work some ground and pound but Giroud has wrist control.
Seminole stands up over Giroud, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Seminole lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Giroud is rocked!
Seminole throwing strikes from guard but Giroud blocks nicely.
Seminole scoring with some ground and pound.
Giroud is still in real trouble! Can Seminole finish him?
Seminole cracks Giroud with a solid left hand.
Giroud is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Seminole with a flurry of punches that miss.
Seminole postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Giroud really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Seminole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Seminole postures up in Giroud's guard and throws a big left but Giroud blocks it.
Seminole loads up on a big left hand. Giroud felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Seminole looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Giroud can't hide his disappointment, as Seminole celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Seminole!
Chief Seminole seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Bastien Giroud was interviewed post fight and said 'It's just a setback on the road to greatness. Ill be back stronger !'.
