The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damnation throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Damnation misses the jab.
Shamrock swings for the body but Damnation moves out of range.
Shamrock circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shamrock slips a straight right by Damnation.
Shamrock throws a fast counter high kick but Damnation manages to duck under it in time.
Shamrock misses with a body shot.
Damnation throws a quick counter head kick but Shamrock was just out of range.
Shamrock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shamrock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Damnation swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Damnation throws a jab when Shamrock was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damnation misses with a body shot.
Shamrock let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Damnation has managed to clinch.

Damnation swings wildly with an uppercut but Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid it.

Shamrock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Damnation throws the left hand but Shamrock avoids the punch easily.
Despite the aggression on Shamrock's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Shamrock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Damnation throws a lazy right hand but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Damnation is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Damnation tries to clinch but Shamrock is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shamrock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Damnation manages to avoid it.
It looked like Damnation was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Damnation closes the distance and clinches.
Damnation's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Shamrock misses with the head strike.
Damnation misses with some punches.

Shamrock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Damnation uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shamrock.
An attempted straight right counter from Damnation misses the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shamrock tries to close the distance and clinch but Damnation swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

I would just about give that final round to Brandon Shamrock.
